Warda Becomes Sheffield Laureate

Squad grad and poet Warda Yassin has been announced as Sheffield’s next poet laureate. To celebrate, Warda will be performing with current laureate Otis Mensah this October at Sheffield’s Crucible Theatre.

Their poetry performances will be followed by a conversation with Magid Magid, former Lord Mayor of Sheffield and creator of the Sheffield Laureate role.  At this event Otis will pass the crown to Warda who will become the new Sheffield Poet Laureate.
