Helen’s Debut Pamphlet with Bad Betty Press

We’re delighted to share that Helen Bowell’s debut poetry pamphlet is to be released by Bad Betty Press in 2022.

The poems in it follow the relationship between the speaker and ‘the barman’, a character who is never named. The book explores that relationship, while staying conscious of the wider context in which the characters live. The barman is a straight white man, and sometimes that means he has trouble understanding the speaker’s perspective.
