TRANS DAY OF REMEMBERANCE

A night of reflection and solidarity with THE Trans community both in Durham as well as around the world. This collaboration with Durham Poetry Society is a night of music and poetry in giving trans, non-binary and gender questioning members the chance to perform pieces to mark day with craftivism stalls to give people the chance to make their own posters, signs and butter flies of support and solidarity.

There will also be reading out the list of recorded deaths of trans people who have lost their lives as a result of trans related hate crime which will then be followed by a two-minute silence and a reading of Maya Angelou’s “Still I Rise”.
