Thorn Tarot Workshop with Kym Deyn

This workshop is both an introduction to tarot cards and sets out to explore the ways in which tarot cards can be used to tell stories. We all know that images tell stories, and the better we understand an image the more effectively its story can be revealed. Reading tarot well involves being a good storyteller.

So what tarot does is give us a base to tell our stories from, the images on the cards become the characters, places, and scenarios. These can be pasts, futures, or something entirely unrelated to us. Whether you’re interested in the Tarot as a tool for divination, or as a source of creative inspiration this workshop will give you the basics in not only the twenty-two cards of the Major Arcana, or the Trump cards, but also in reading “dumb”: to tell the story as you see it and not get bogged down in symbols; to tell a story as sharp as the edge of a knife.
