Doomgate at Laurels Theatre

Hannah Sowerby’s latest comic play, produced by Carpet Time Productions, is part of an anthology being performed at Laurels Theatre, Whitley Bay this October/November.

Somewhere in rural Northumberland there’s a village called Mould-on-the-Wall. Somewhere in this village you’ll find a street that convicts once walked down as they made their way to their deaths. Today it’s a street like any other, and like any other street… Doomgate has its secrets. 

Join us as we jump house to house and pull back the curtain to shed light on the darkness within, with tales that explore what happens when you let an over-eager door-to-door salesman into your home, the true cost of giving a friend your kidney and why a middle-aged man can’t leave his train set alone…
