Ruth Joins Manchester Poetry Library

Ruth Awolola is joining the team at the Manchester Poetry Library as their new Poetry Learning Officer.

Ruth will be working with the team to develop the a public programme linked to the library’s contemporary collection. She’ll be creating events, opportunities, groups and projects, all designed to support young and diverse poets in developing their skills and networks.

Based at Manchester Metropolitan University, the library is the North West’s first poetry library, open to everyone. Their collection offers a range of poetry in the many languages spoken in Manchester, as well as a dedicated children’s section.
