Kayleigh graduated with a First from the University of Manchester and was awarded a Distinction in MA: Creative Writing from Nottingham Trent University in December 2022.
She was a Roundhouse Slam Semi-Finalist in 2017 and 2023 and has headlined open mics in Manchester and Liverpool.

Kayleigh was accepted into the 2022-2023 Roundhouse Poetry Collective, and ‘The Moth Poem’ was commended in the Poetry Society’s August Challenge Competition. She was a 2023 Poetry Business Resident with Karishma Sangtani.

As a mentor, Kayleigh has worked with students age 10 and above. This includes private creative writing tuition and with First Story and Wordsmiths. During these projects, Kayleigh facilitated workshops in performance and writing, helping young writers manage stage fright and boost self confidence.

Kayleigh has collaborated with various organisations; Elstree Studios, Apples & Snakes, One Mic Stand, The Last Word Festival, Hay Festival and BBC Contains Strong Language.

Her work has appeared in Butcher’s Dog, Ink Sweat & Tears and the Cardiff Review. She works as a full-time Editor in Leeds and as an intern with Ink Sweat & Tears.
