Jamal Provokes an Alt-Recovery

Squad grad Jamal Gerald was invited to make a provocation at a Leeds 2023 meeting called to discuss Covid-19 recovery and what he wants to happen to support artists.

Jamal talked about the effect the pandemic had on his own touring plans, what he intends to do for himself and other Black artists, and what needs to happen if all the inequalities and injustices that existed before lockdown are not to be baked into the post-Covid settlement.
