Warda & Sister Talk Books & Writing

Squad poet Warda Yassin has always warned us that her younger sister is an even better writer than her. Ever the supportive of new and emerging talent Warda has been happy to talk books and writing with her sister Sundus for The Lit Collective, a new book club in Sheffield for young woman of colour – “reading literature by and for us.”

Warda and Sundus discuss their favourite literary sisters before sharing and reflecting on their own poetry which explore the themes of family, home and cultural identity.
