
Lauren C. Maltas
Lauren is a writer from Calderdale, West Yorkshire. She studied English Literature at the University of Leeds, and earned a 1st Class grade in her creative writing dissertation. She now works in marketing.
During her time at University, Lauren was appointed as the School of English’s first Writing Intern and following that was offered the position of Poetry Editor for the long running poetry magazine, Poetry & Audience.
She writes short stories and creative non-fiction, and is working on her first novel. In her free time, Lauren enjoys making new things from secondhand materials, and is a keen gardener/plant-pot veg grower. When it comes to reading, she has a particular interest in autofiction and books with environment, social class and memory as a theme.
Her prose and poetry has most recently appeared in SAND, Caught by the River and Strix.
