The Write Festival celebrates the written word in all its forms and takes place annually in the National Centre for the Word in South Shields.

During the 2019 event Squad writers are working with local writers and a photographer to vlog, film, report and review the festival and we have commissioned poets Beth Davies, Fahad Al-Amoudi and Prerana Kumar to respond to the amazing building.
