Trap

Darren, Aaron and Chris are three working-class lads. They live for the weekends – for sloshing pints on a carpet dance floor in their local, for chasing skirt and dirty kissing in dark rooms, for the cheap euphoria of party bags and performative carelessness. It’s been their blueprint since their teen years – but on the verge of their mid-twenties (with the dreaded three-zero looming ever closer), will these boys finally become men? Or succumb to the shame-inducing monotony of an escapism that never failed them until now? A performance-based-research project exploring live, original music, within a solo theatre performance.
