Old Photos, New Ideas: making zines from the archive
Join Hartlepool’s Crossing the Tees Reader-in-Residence, Theodore Forcer, for a relaxed, beginner-friendly zine workshop!
Discover the art of zine-making in this creative, hands-on workshop inspired by archival materials from Hartlepool. Perfect for all skill levels, this session offers a fun and accessible way to connect with Hartlepool’s heritage while expressing your own ideas through print. Come along and play with images and text from the resources available from our local collection.
In this guided session, you will explore different methods of binding zines and by the end, you will have created zines inspired by local history and archival materials. Participants will have the opportunity to have their work displayed in the Zine library in Community Hub. Anyone is free to browse and contribute to this.
