Book Launch with The Braag

Kym Deyn’s press The Braag CIC, supported by New Writing North’s Young Creative Associate scheme, is launching two new poetry pamphlets: Gannota: A Tale of Three Thimbles by Nina Murray and Pond by Sarah Westcott.

These books will be published on Monday February 26th, with a book launch at The Lit & Phil, Newcastle Upon Tyne that same evening in the Loftus Room. The launch will include readings by both authors and entry is free.

Gannota: A Tale of Three Thimbles by poet and translator Nina Murray explores the life and myth of Larysa Kosach, the Ukrainian feminist thinker and poet known by her pen-name Lesya Ukrainka.

Pond by Sarah Westcott is a glimpse into another world, bright with dazzling language. Pond looks to the natural world with a keen eye, not just to capture it, but to write it into its own language.
