Heather Chapman
Heather is a Durham University undergraduate student, studying English Literature. They were a 2023 Foyle Young Poet, were shortlisted for the 2024-5 Poetry Wales Award, the 2025 Oxford Poetry Prize, and the 2025 Crossing the Tees Short Story Prize. They also won the 2025 Hive Young Writers Competition, and were the September 2025 Verve Poet of the Month.
Their work is published or forthcoming in Gutter, And Other Poems, Oxford Poetry, Bloodletter and Carmen et Error, as well as in anthologies by Sidekick Books and New Writing North.
Heather has a fiction micro-chapbook published with The Braag. They are the editor of the poetry magazine The Gentian.
