Tallulah Joins as Co-ordinator

Tallulah Howarth will take over from the Squad’s previous co-ordinator Roma Havers, who has been offered a full-time position with Manchester City Council.

Tallulah says, “I joined the Squad in 2023; it has had a big hand in my confidence as a writer and helped me access some wonderful opportunities. I love how democratic the structure of the Writing Squad is, and I’m excited to facilitate other Squad writers in also getting the most out of their experience.”

Tallulah Howarth is a poet and multidisciplinary creative based in Leeds. They are a graduate of the MA in Writing Poetry at Newcastle University, and Union: The Northern School for Creativity & Activism. For two years running, she has been the assistant producer of Chapel FM’s radio broadcast festival, Writing on Air. She is a member of Radical Routes’ Diversity & Inclusion Working Group, and hopes to bring some of this knowledge to the co-ordinator role.
