linnae.abraham

Linnae Abraham (they/her) is a multidisciplinary artist, writer, director, performer, and facilitator based between Manchester and London. Their work draws from personal experiences of immigration, queerness, and mental health, aiming to broaden the discourse on these themes and resonate with audiences who connect with these perspectives.

In 2023, Linnae served as Assistant Director and performer for the Royal Exchange Theatre’s Young Company production of ‘Chaos’ by Laura Lomas, directed by Gitika Buttoo. In 2024, they debuted their work-in-progress play ‘What They Can’t See’ at Contact Theatre, exploring the question “What makes a house a home?” Through a blend of movement and drama, the play examines the complexities of growing up within two cultures.

Since 2023, they have been the Writer’s Assistant for the Royal Exchange’s Young Company writers’ group, while also contributing dramaturgical support to productions including ‘Another Life’ for The Manchester Confucius Institute and ‘Chameleon’ for HiveMCR, which featured in the 2024 Edinburgh Fringe Festival. They are currently developing their short film Pleasant Meadows, a project they have written and directed, which explores found family dynamics within queer relationships. The film is set for release in 2025.
