Jess Cowie is a playwright, theatre maker, journalist and theatre critic from Cheshire. Currently studying for her degree in Theatre and Creative Writing from Lancaster University, she writes for multiple publications including Beyond the Curtain, The Fledger and The Tab (both at regional and national levels). She is Deputy Theatre Editor for the Indiependent.
Jess has reviewed at the Edinburgh Fringe Festival for the last two years, both for EdFringeReview and for the Indiependent. Her star ratings have been used on posters outside West End theatres and at the Fringe.
Jess is currently interning at a theatre company and working on her full first length play, alongside multiple other projects.
