Shehla and FND Awareness

Squad grad Shehla Ali was planning to write a book about her solo travelling adventures when she was diagnosed with a brain condition called Functional Neurological Disorder (FND.)

FND is the name given to symptoms caused by a problem with the functioning of the nervous system. FND can cause -amongst other symptoms – chronic pain, fatigue, headaches, migraines and non-epileptic seizures.

Shehla now creates TikTok videos to raise awareness about FND, as well as using Instagram to chart her experiences. She hopes to create a new business to promote the cause, with a website to be launched soon.
