Roma Joins As Co-ordinator

Roma Havers will take over from Texas-MFA-bound Libby Williamson as the Squad’s Coordinator.

Roma says, “I’m excited to be joining the brilliant team at Writing Squad, having been a longtime admirer of their work and their writers. I’m looking forward to supporting Steve and the Squad to continue to do the incredible work they do, and empower the next generation of talent.”

Roma is an experienced facilitator and writing mentor, specialising in supporting early career writers, and producing accessible and high-quality programming. They are an Anti-Racism training facilitator, editor, writer and theatremaker, and has sat on several youth forums and consultancy groups across Manchester. Following a tenure as Manchester Poetry Library’s Learning Manager they have also produced events and projects with HOMEmcr, Manchester Histories, Amnesty International, Manchester International Festival and many others.
