ISSUE 20

KAYLEIGH JAYSHREE

During the Writing the Archive, I was thinking about memory and personal archives. I looked at linoprinted art books and how an image alongside text can tell its own story. I thought about how erasure can add to, or even sometimes create, meaning. In each poem I look at a different way memory can change; from the climate, to mental health, to situationships, to uncertainty. For the image based panels I used words to distort and create meaning and played with colour.
