Laura Seeks Interviews
BBC Radio3 Verb New Voices winner Laura Potts is looking for stories from those bereaved by war.
She has been commissioned to create a new piece for Radio 3’s The Verb and wants to examine the experiences of people living with grief in the north of England, and is currently looking to interview individuals whose lives have been affected by the loss of a friend or relative through warfare. If chosen after interview, their story will form the basis for a poem and combined with five other such stories to create a piece of radio drama. This will be broadcast in 2018.
From World War I to the present day and from childhood to elderly loss, she is looking for the real stories of grief experienced by those left behind. Whether a soldier, a sailor, a parent, a child. the only parameters are the interviewee must live in the north of England and be available for interview in August 2017 and give permission for any interviews to be voice-recorded. A small fee will be paid for each chosen story.
