Each night we create night-time anti-narratives driven by image. \nAs writers we’re told to keep a notebook on our nightstands (and sometimes we even take that advice) but even if we achieve the small miracle of remembering and recording a dream\, how do we translate it into a poem? \nIn this workshop we will learn how to distill our dreams\, how to sharpen that washy quality they so often have. We’ll extract the dream’s logic and metaphor so as to write new poems that pop with otherworldly movement and colour.

DESCRIPTION:This Zoom meeting will last maybe about an hour and not longer than an hour and half. \nWe are seeing how we have done with the mini-goals we set ourselves last week\, and maybe renewing them or setting new ones. \nThis is open to Squad 1-9 with a focus on prose writers\, there are other groups for poets and scriptwriters. DESCRIPTION:A sharing of old skills and new techniques in a safe and friendly space. \nThis is and opportunity for six of you to share workshop tips and techniques. It is for all levels\, whether you’re just starting out\, have been running workshops and want new ideas\, or are an experienced workshop leader wanting to refresh or try out new things. \nWe’ll create a safe and friendly space\, facilitated by Steve D\, in which each participant will take a turn at leading the rest of us in an exercise or game. \nIf you just want to take part and not lead an exercise that’s fine\, with have six places for people just to join in. \nHopefully you’ll go away with plenty of new exercises to use in workshop and writing situations\, and the confidence to try them out. \nIf you want to lead an exercise sign up here.\nIf you just want to take part sign up here.\nPlease don’t sign up for both Workshop Workshops!
