
Sally Ashton
Sally Ashton studied English Literature and Creative Writing at Warwick University. Her first novella, Controller, was shortlisted for Route’s Next Great Yorkshire Novelist Competition in 2011 and Sabotage Review’s Saboteur Awards 2013 Best Novella.
Sally gained a Masters in Translation and Interpreting from The University of Westminster in 2012 and spent several years working as a translator. In 2016, she collaborated with Steve Dearden to publish an English translation of Mario Crespo’s Spanish novel, LS6.
In 2018, she began studying graduate medicine and currently works as a medical doctor.
She continues to write in her spare time and one day hopes to publish a second novel, which is inspired by living in the Forest of Fontainebleau.
