
Finlay Worrallo
Finlay Worrallo is a cross-arts writer who works with prose, poetry and script. He predominantly writes about the queer experience, national identity and translation between cultures.
He cowrote the speculative fiction chapbook Unfurl: Portrait of Another World alongside Kym Deyn and Nathaniel Spain; this debuted as the flagship publication of The Braag CIC in 2023.
His poetry is published in journals such as 14, Impossible Archetype, Pennine Platform, Rust & Moth and Gutter, and he was highly commended in the 2024 Chancellors Poetry Prizes at Newcastle University. He is a first reader for poetry at The Braag CIC and is working towards a debut pamphlet.
He is currently studying for a Creative Writing MA at Newcastle University, specialising in film and theatre script. Following readings of his work at scratch nights and performances with Newcastle University Theatre Society, he is working towards his first feature-length script.
