Katherine is an academic copy editor and proofreader and has won a number of scriptwriting prizes. She has had a play reading at the West Yorkshire Playhouse, and two of her screenplays have been shortlisted by the BBC Writersroom, receiving full readings and script reports by the development manager. She has written essays and short stories and is currently working on a radio play.

Katherine previously worked as a copywriter and is training to become a French–English translator.

She was born in South Yorkshire and lives in the south of France.
