Women X Festival is BAFTA-Qualifying!
The Women X Film Festival has become BAFTA-Qualifying for Best British Short Film.
Women X, which is organised out of and happens annually in Darlington, is run by Rianne Pictures, a not-for-profit championing female & non-binary creatives. The festival is also BIFA-Qualifying and is backed by the BFI.
Pearl Andrews-Horrigan has worked with Rianne Pictures for six years, most recently as Senior Development Executive. In this role, Pearl launched and led the Women X Script Competition and inaugural Writers Residency alongside the festival.
The festival has also previously screened work from Writing Squad alumni including Lauren Vevers’ short film ‘Love Spell’.
This year, the festival will be taking place between the 17th – 20th of September.
