LOSING CEREMONY: TIRESOME/TIRELESS

Lost Property is an art gallery in a wallet that gets lost in the streets. Each exhibition becomes part of everyday life by being left in public spaces – roadsides, gutters, nooks and crannies. Their first exhibition is TIRESOME/TIRELESS by Ila Colley, a lyrical exploration of a mother and daughter navigating political, domestic, and wage labour.

Our first Losing Ceremony will be a quest to discover the perfect place to release this exhibition into the big wide world. Navigating using nothing but the flip of a coin, we will uncover psychogeographic stories of Digbeth’s working past – narratives of migration, flooding, music, and protest all may or may not surface at the street level. We will weave links between these histories and Ila Colley’s work.
