Jess Cowie is a writer, wannabe theatre maker and journalist based in Lancaster. She studied Theatre and Creative Writing from Lancaster University, where she was Editor in Chief of the Lancaster Tab, and focussed her modules on community performance, theatre making and disability studies. Her writing interests lie in literary fiction, contemporary romance, and messing around with form and genre, just for fun.

Jess currently works at Settle Stories as Executive Assistant, where she works in community engagement, accessibility, and creative programming coordination. She runs Settle Writers' Group every month, and has also run creative writing workshops for children aged KS2 and above.
