Nick’s Film on Amazon Prime

Nicholas Connor from Squad 10 has released his film ‘Cotton Wool’ on Amazon Prime Video. The film follows a single mother (Leanne Best) who suffers a devastating stroke leaving her teenage daughter (Katie Quinn) and 7-year-old son (Max Vento) to care for her.

The film is inspired by the plight and courage of the 243,000 child-carers under 19 in England and Wales; 22,000 of which are under the age of 9.

The film stars Leanne Best (Star Wars: The Force Awakens, Cold Feet, Line of Duty) Max Vento (BBC’s The A Word) Katie Quinn (Northern Lights) Kate Rutter (I Daniel Blake,  Four Weddings and a Funeral) Crissy Rock (Ken Loach’s: Ladybird Ladybird, Benidorm) and Gemma North (Peaky Blinders, The A Word)

‘Cotton Wool’ has scooped up 45 awards, 72 nominations and 27 festival official selections globally. These include the ‘Special Jury Prize’ at the London Film Awards, ‘Best Picture’ at both the LA Film Awards and New York Film Awards as well as ‘Best Drama’ at European Independent Film Awards. The film was given by ★★★★★ ScreenCritix and UK Film Review named it ‘The Best Short Film of the Year’.
