Katie Huggins has a double degree in Creative Writing and History from the University of Wollongong, Australia. She completed her exchange at the University of Sheffield, and is currently enrolled at SAE studying a Bachelor of Film in Sydney, Australia. Katie has been a member of the Writing Squad since 2014, was the 2015 President of the University of Wollongong Literary Society (LitSoc). She is currently the grants coordinator for the Wollongong Writers Festival, and completing a residency at Can Serrat, Spain.

Katie has an honourable mention for the New York Short Story Comp, a finalist in the Fiction War Short Fiction Comp, and audience favourite for her play at the Sydney Short and Sweet Play festival. Katie has been published in PUSH, LitSoc Zines, Howl, Fiction Wars, Ugly Pineapple, The Writing Junction and Jotters United. She is currently working on her first novel.
